    v0.1.4 — Closing the 0.1 chapter

    Closing the 0.1 chapter

Version 0.1.4 is the final release in the 0.1.x series.

The focus here is not on new features, but on making the product more consistent, predictable and ready for what comes next.

    What you will notice

A few parts of the experience have been simplified:

    • the visual system is now unified around a single, warmer copper/red direction
    • sign-in and invitation flows are clearer, with better handling of stale states

    Behind the scenes

This release also includes a range of smaller improvements:

    • continued stability and security hardening
    • a refreshed application baseline for a more stable and future-proof foundation
    • cleaner deployment and release workflows
    • improved local and development environment setup

    What comes next

With 0.1.x completed, the next step is v0.2.0 — focusing on the app UI and making Preferino more practical and pleasant to use in everyday situations.

    v0.1.3 - A Quiet Update

This release includes a range of smaller refinements across the product. Here are a few of the more noticeable ones.

    Invitations

Invites should now behave more reliably, especially when reopening or re-entering an existing invitation.

    Preferences

Editing preferences is now more stable and predictable:

    • free-text input behaves more consistently
    • the "Add more" flow no longer creates duplicate rows

    A small visual tweak

Refined Copper has been adjusted slightly, with a touch more red, bringing it closer to the intended Preferino tone.

    Behind the scenes

As usual, this release also includes a few quieter improvements:

    • security hardening
    • infrastructure and development environment cleanup

    v0.1.2 - Appearance Lab

    Appearance Lab

Preferino now includes a small Appearance Lab for the founders beta.

The current beta group can switch between several theme presets and explore how different accent colors change the feel of the interface directly inside the app.

This is not a full customization feature yet. It is a simple way for the beta group to help shape Preferino's visual direction in context.

    Theme presets

    Four initial directions are available:

    • Classic Copper
    • Refined Copper
    • Bordeaux
    • Deep Plum

Each gives the interface a different tone while keeping the calm design system intact.

    Fine-tuning

For experimentation, the accent color can also be adjusted manually.

Preferino derives the supporting shades used across the interface automatically, so the result stays balanced even when the accent color changes.

    Why this exists

Design decisions become clearer when you can experience them.

Instead of discussing colors only in screenshots, the Appearance Lab lets the beta group try different directions directly in the product.

    Also in this release

Alongside the Appearance Lab, this update includes several smaller improvements behind the scenes:

    • clearer roadmap and help navigation
    • improved handling of accepted tester connections
    • visual system refinements across the app shell
    • additional security hardening and infrastructure cleanup
